WHO ARE WE ?
HEChecs is the chess committee of HEC Montréal powered by the AIDAe group. We are dedicated to promoting the game of chess and fostering a passionate community. Founded in 2021, we have brought together players of all levels to share our interest in this game.
Our mission
To bring together the student community around chess and make this game accessible to everyone, beginners and experienced players, while also developing managerial skills that will have a significant role in the personal and professional development of anyone. Indeed, chess allows the development of numerous management aspects such as crisis management, emotional management, decision-making, strategy and tactics, situation analysis, analysis of one's own strengths and weaknesses, as well as those of the opponent, and much more.
