Anatoly Karpov, hailing from Russia and the Soviet Union, is a renowned chess player. Born on May 23, 1951, in Zlatoust. Anatoly Karpov is an iconic figure in the world of chess, leaving a significant mark in the history of this intellectual game.

From a young age, Anatoly Karpov exhibited a strong fascination with chess and swiftly advanced due to his early prowess as a player. In 1975, he attained the title of Chess World Champion, securing the victory after the controversial forfeit of his rival, Bobby Fischer. Over the course of many years, he maintained his championship status and successfully defended his title against formidable opponents such as Viktor Korchnoi and Garry Kasparov.
